Caps are baby teeth which have failed to fall out by themselves. The roots can be very sharp and dig into the horse's cheeks when he is eating or when you ride. German vet and dental surgeon Katharina Ros has to see to a 4-year-old mare who presents with riding problems. The mare is stiff on one rein and Katharina Ros suspects that caps are the culprit.
