Honestly, does Barney ever get a word in?

We can all identify the insufferable dinner party bore. It's that one person  at the table who loves the sound of their own voice and steers any conversation in the direction that suits them with no regard for whether the topic is unpleasant or simply tedious for the rest of the guests.

In this video, Learning Animals' José De Giorgio-Schoorl points out that the way humans traditionally behave towards horses and other non-human animals is also rather boring. Instead of sharing lived experiences, we hog the conversation - metaphorically - like the dinner party bore. So why do we do this? And is there anything we can do about it? José De Giorgio-Schoorl explains.
